What is YA4?

Purpose: The YA4 Foundation is an independent public charity dedicated to encouraging community wide participation and philanthropy in order to enhance and expand enrichment opportunities for all students in the Yough School District.

Why YA4 and Yough? Yough is a special family based community and district. This organization is new and seeking partnerships with charity organizations and individuals who share our vision and mission of doing what is best for kids. We focus on improving education by providing students with memorable and long lasting learning experiences. We want each student to leave our district with a creative mindset, the ability to collaborate, and the ability to innovate. We hope you or your organization will take a serious look at who we are, what we do and why we could create a great partnership.

Objective: Seeking grant funding of to service Academic, Athletic, Art related projects and opportunities for students in the five district level buildings of the Yough School District.

Mission Statement: The mission of the Foundation is to ensure the highest level of educational innovation supporting students, faculty, and staff with community involvement in a partnership of lifetime learning in academics, arts, and athletics.

Tax Exemption: The Foundation is organized exclusively for the charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501 C (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, as amended, including for such purposes as the making of distributions for organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under said Section or the corresponding provisions of any subsequent laws.

Funding Mechanisms: The Foundation will secure resources from individuals, corporations, community organizations, and foundations to be distributed in accordance with the mission and funding criteria established by the Foundation.

Distribution of Funds: No part of the net earnings of the Foundation shall inure to the benefit of, or be distributed to its directors, trustees, officers, or private persons except that this organization shall be authorized and empowered to pay reasonable compensation for the services rendered and to make payments and distributions in furtherance of its purposes as set forth herein. No substantial part of the activities of the Foundation shall be directed toward an attempt to influence legislation and the Foundation shall not participate in any political campaign on behalf of any candidate for public office.
